Has anyone tried this after MVD? I think it's kind of a powder substance.
Thanks

A few days after surgery, they brought me som foam shampo and a pile of wet washcloths to get the worst of the dry blood and Betadine off. The night before discharge the night shift nurse spread some oinment around to soften the rest of the blood etc., I told her I was allergic to Neosporin and she replied there was none in the oinment, but you can see by my picture a nice red itchy rash, just what I needed! After discharge they said I could wash my hair in the shower as soon as I felt up to it, just dont scrub. I didn't have any staples, just a running suture line that was dissolvable. kg

Ill even spray it on myself, or around the house, if it feel dirty, or cant take out a smelly trash bag. (I have house help come every two weeks to do things I can't, for now, so this has helped.) Be carfeul, its a bit powdery, so white stuff gets on what you spray it on, but you can wipe it off with a bit of water, and when you brush your hair, it comes off.

I've learned to ask for any products they have, and if they have ice cream or snacks. Most hospital floors keep ice cream and/ or snacks and gingerale- but you have to ask for it.
How did the MVD go? I was reading about how terrified you were so I am excited to see that you did it!
Permalink Reply by Sara B on November 29, 2011 at 10:13am I am not at that point yet! I would probably be going with the headband stage. Once I get to a certain point, I am going to cut my hair to a short cut and then just let it all grow out naturally.
My MVD went OK. I was pain free for about 3 months but needed to go back on tegretol yesterday. My doc thinks it will be only for a week. He thinks I may have some inflammation so once that goes away, I will be off meds. I had extremely bad double vision but that is starting to level off. It is not gone but I don't have to wear prism lenses anymore.
I am glad that the problem you have is about hair! That certainly is an easy one to deal with.
