My favorite movies are Christmas movies, so that is about the only time I watch movies. Once they start I can spend a whole weekend watching, doesn't matter if they are old movies or new ones I love…Continue

Lat night I saw The Inbetweeners!!  It will never win an Oscar and it is extremely silly but you can't help but laugh at it. It's about four young men who have just graduated high school. They go to an island in Greece to celebrate. It's a party type resort and they encounter some silly situations! 17 year old would love it!

I went to see The Hunger Games today. While it was not the best film ever it was pretty good. Is it near future story of teens fighting for their lives? Or is it a mighty knock at the greed of consumerism and stupidity of celebrity worship? I would like your opinion please.
Also as a petty side note, I could not take my eyes off Stanley Tucci's awful veneers. (he was hamming it up for America too).

Thanks elstep, I added it to my Netflix queue.  It looks really interesting, and gets great reviews.

The Skin I live.     Weird but compelling.   I loved it, husband hated it!   You decide.     Missed it first time around but as it won a Bafta it did the rounds again, so glad I caught it this time.     Its about a plastic surgeon and an operation he carries out.  Dont want to give too much away!

Elstep, my own imagination scares me plenty on a daily basis! A mystery site I belong to raved about Woman In Black, the novel. I have one of Hill's more current books on Audible for my listening and creeped out pleasure. That one is a mystery. Jackie, you're thinking of Collins' book The Woman in White, which was a very scary movie, too. I thought.

Oh good, I love to be scared by book or film. Thanks Elaine!

Lorraine, I tried to post the link but it had expired on Iplayer, time ran away with me. I am sure it will be repeated.

Woman in Black, I am muddled, help me out someone, I am confused with Woman In White by Wilkie Collins. Have I got the wrong colour?

Not seen Sucker Punch. Celine can you give us a brief write up?

bookless i enjoyed the book woman in black, thought it was so scary, also saw it on the west end in london, looking forward to the film, but i guess the book will be best, nothing beats your own imagination most times!

Did anyone see Sucker Punch?  It is one of my favorite movies.  It gave me chills at the end!  Have not had a movie do that in a long time.
