I have recieved queries as to where in the USA one can acquire the topical ketamine and amitryptalline creme I used successfully on my patients. After some enquiry, I have found a chain of stores that supply this type of product in the USA - they can be reached @ --

iN MY EXPERIENCE, THE TOPICAL SOLUTIONS REVIEWED IN THE ATTACHED ARTICLE will generally have a partial effect. They need to be combined with the Phonophoresis effect of the Painshield to achieve the maximum effect. see www.doctoradahan.com

Hi Dr Adhan,
I use a 5%ketamine/5%lidocaine/5%gabapentin gel. I consider it an essential part of my "toolkit" to deal with this condition. I find it very helpful in dulling my topical trigeminal responses. I wear it for a few hours, then I must remove it, as it gives my skin an inflammatory/allergic response. It helps me to bear the application of makeup and dulls the other triggers, like wind. I find that it gets to the surface pain, but the deeper pain still lingers.
I have not heard of your device, but I will print the information and take it to my Pain Specialist. Can you tell me, does this device function and deliver a different type of stimulation than a TENS unit, or is it the same?
I appreciate it very much when doctors come on this site to tell us of new approaches. I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Lily
