a test of strength

I am beyond frustrated and bummed at this point. I started depakote a while ago when I got up to 1000 mg I started getting this feeling in parts of my arms and legs that they were very heavy and almost falling asleep. It continued for about a week so I called my Dr. They didn't know what it was so I have to come off of it. This wouldn't be such a frustration except for the fact that I have tried so many meds. No doctors around me will treat me because it is too complicated. And this Dr. was doing okay with me and then he now says he doesn't know..Its just hard to find a doctor! I am sure many of you have had this problem too. UGHHH! Sorry, I just needed to vent. I have the feeling in my heart that I just want to cry. I'm not asking for pitty, but just tell me if you have any suggestions to not let this get me so down.

okay, that is a blow to your soul! I don't think there is one person on this forum that would ever even condiser teh possibility of it being pychological!! That makes me so mad - why can't we find doctors that feel the same pain? Then tell them that their pain doesn't exist and that they are crazy! Oh Ally - I don't even know what to say.....have you tried every drug in the book? Are there any more medical options? At this point you have to be your own doctor cause it just seems like there are too many of them out there that give up on us too fast....it is a helpless feeling. Please let me know what happens. And yes, there are pretty long, cold winters here....never used to like winter...guess I'm looking forward to the snow to fly this year! You seem like such an awesome person...keep your chin up and let's keep looking to towards the stars for an answer!

Can you ask the Drs that you visited to speak to one another? Maybe they could collaborate and come up with something? That is awesome that the icy-hot works! Do you have long cold winters?
